Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

Boxers and Ring BoxLast month, I stumbled upon the picture to your right. Innocent enough, right? A ring box sitting on a pair of boxers neatly placed in the snow on the lawn a few doors down from my house. I thought it would be an interesting story to tell, so I blogged about it.

I positioned the post as a caption contest and encouraged people to submit their most creative entries. Imaginary bonus points were awarded for haiku entries.

The Entries, The Winners, The Prizes

For some reason, I didn’t receive nearly the influx of entries as I had anticipated (hoped for?). However, those that did come in were all brilliant. In the spirit of “No Child Left Behind” I’ve decided that everyone is a winner. The 6 people below will all win something (possibly a w00t random bag of crap). Simply email (djwaldow AT gmail DOT com) or DM me your mailing address and I’ll take care of the rest.

Entry #1: Sharon Mostyn via Twitter

Tossed your ring & boxers, when I found you sleeping with, my sister & friend.

Entry #2: Molly Cantrell-Kraig via Twitter

Forlorn, discarded / boxers anchored by empty / white box of failed love.

Entry #3: Mike Masin via Twitter

diamonds are forever but they work pretty well for the next five minutes too

Entry #4: Chris Moody via comment

Unfortunately, Robert wasn’t as smooth as Justin Timberlake when he used “Dick in a box” for his proposal.

Entry #5: Josh Peters via comment

He went to Jared

Entry #6: Michael Brooks via comment

When it comes to proposals, size matters.

Which did you like best? Do you have one to add to the mix?
