I too just receive a bill for back taxes due as a result of one of NYS "audits". Though is only a small fractions of what Dave has been audited for, my wife and I have decided to fight it. What is funny is we have not lived there for over two years and we still seem to be stuck paying taxes there. That is the reason we left we were under paid and over taxed. My advice to those who still live in NY, get out before the roof caves in, and don't walk........run. I am feeling Dave's pain. We were audited for 2006 taxes sent a bill that included 25% interest and a $60 late payment fine.
