[VIDEO] Election Night TV Guide

Election Tuesday. Is it really here already?

If you spend more than a few seconds a day on Facebook, Twitter, reading blogs, watching television, or in any other way consuming content and media, it’s pretty tough to miss the fact that in 3 days, our United States of America will be holding a Presidential Election.

If you are like anything like me, in past Election Tuesday’s, you were glued to the television set.

If you are anything like me, you’ll be following this year’s Election Tuesday on a few screens – TV, laptop, smartphone, tablet – and consuming and creating content and interacting with friends and family via multiple forms of media – TV, Twitter, Facebook, blogs, videos, text, IM, face to face, live streams, phone, and so on.

If you are anything like me, you have a decent idea of what’s going on – you know there’s this crazy “college” that elects the President, you know that states are “called” for one candidate or the other after what sometimes seems like only a handful of votes have been counted, you know that networks like CNN use crazy holograms and other things to show who is winning.

But …

If you are anything like me, you don’t REALLY know what the heck is going on during Election Tuesday.

Have no fear.

First, know that you are not alone. In fact, you probably know more than the average American.

Second, you are in luck this year. My good friend Tom Webster put together this 4 minute, 39 second video “so that you can be the smartest person in the room on election night.”

Tom is with Edison Research, the sole provider of election exit poll data to the major news networks. Tom is also part of the brains behind The Social Habit, a new social media research series from the minds at Edison Research and editorial partners Jay Baer, Jason Falls, and Mark Schaefer.

Check it out the Election Night TV Guide video now . It’s funny. It’s helpful. It’s super-creative.
