[Podcast] The Work Talk Show: Mitch Joel on Blend vs. Balance

I can’t believe we are already almost a dozen episodes into the new podcast my buddy Nick Westergaard and I launched on October 7th.

The Work Talk Show is a weekly podcast featuring a talk show format along with crazy smart guests who operate outside the lines of what work has traditionally looked like. Nick and I have “irreverent and insightful conversations” on work habits, work-shifting, virtual teams, productivity, travel, tools, technology, work-life balance, and everything in between as we take a look at how work gets done today.

This week’s guest is Mitch Joel:

Mitch JoelIn addition to a healthy diet of writing, speaking, blogging, and podcasting, Mitch Joel also finds time to serve as president of Twist Image, a digital agency with over 100 employees and two offices in Canada. As a seasoned digital nomad and travel commando, it’s not hard to imagine him as the inspiration for George Clooney’s character in Up in the Air. Mitch does all of this to achieve optimal “blend” in his life as opposed to the “balance” many work to attain.

Listen to what Mitch has to say about Blend vs. Balance in Episode #11.

Past episodes have included: Tom Webster (minimizing variables), Chris Brogan (getting work done), Krista Parry (defining success), Ann Handley, (virtual teams), Jay Baer, (planning the work), John Morgan, (2-hour power working), and John Jantch, (making work worth it), Gini Dietrich (building relationships), Daniel Coyle (the practice of writing) and Peter Shankman (making work fun).

Super super SUPER excited to announce a very special guest who Nick & I just interviewed yesterday. His podcast will go live on January 2nd.

*You didn’t think I’d tell you who this special guest was, did you? Stay tuned!
