Sometimes blog post ideas come to you in the oddest times in the most random of locations. For me it was 30 minutes ago … in the shower. I was thinking (out loud) about how awesome life is right now. There are so many things I am grateful for, so many things I love. So, I thought I’d share. My hope is that I can maybe inspire you to take a short pause from your daily grind and create your own list. Or maybe just spread that love…
Here goes:
- I love my (immediate) family. As many of you know, the Waldow/Milan family just went from 2 (me and Kristina) to 3. The addition of Eva Claire has been incredible. She’s a mere 3 weeks old tomorrow and Kristina and I have loved (nearly) every second. I know that all parents would agree that having children and watching them grow is an amazing experience – one that you cannot fully articulate until you are living it.
- I love my (extended) family. I really don’t know where I would be without my parents, step-parents, sister and her family, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, etc. They are always there when we need them … and even sometimes when we don’t ask. It’s so awesome to be able to pick up the phone and have unconditional love a voice away.
- I love my friends – both on and offline. I’ve been blessed (in the non-religious way) to have a strong network of friends that I can lean on, ask advice of, and just have fun with. This includes friends from high school, college, work, and even the whacky world of “online.” Yes, I’m talking about YOU Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter friends. You all keep me going, make it fun, challenge my thinking, and make me a better person. I love you all.
- I love my job. Every single moment? Heck no. But I am fortunate to work for a company – Blue Sky Factory – who believes in me to help grow the company, trusts me to represent them, and supports me with other kick ass employees. I don’t think most people can honestly write or say that they love their job. I do.
I’m sure I could blow this list up to well over 100 things that I love, but I’ll leave it at those 4 for now.
Here is where it gets fun. It’s your turn. Please share the 4+ things you love. You can add them to the comments below, write a blog post about them, create a video, or whatever. Your call. Just do it.
